Part of the team La Maison du développement durable

Bouthillette Parizeau is proud to participate in the project of La Maison du développement durable, of which construction has now started with the recent ground-breaking ceremony.

The new 6,389 m² 5-storey building will be located in the heart of downtown Montreal at the intersection of Ste.Catherine and Clark Street, just east of the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde.

The building will house the offices of Équiterre and eight other organisations also with environmental and social missions.

The building is targeting LEED® Platinum certification, the highest existing certification level and is a result of a process of an integrated design.

Innovation, efficiency and quality systems - characteristics of Bouthillette Parizeau systems – will be showcased in this project :

  • Urban geothermal technology
  • Displacement ventilation (raised floor ventilation)
  • Air filtration via a vertical garden wall of 40 m²
  • Rainwater recovery for water closet water supply
  • Waterless urinals
  • Motion and daylight detectors
  • Motorized windows and blinds
  • LED and high efficiency lighting
  • CO2 sensors for monitoring air quality
